Religion 202 Historical and Theological Developments in Christianity

This course surveys the major historical events, theological debates, institutional developments, and global movements that shaped Christianity from its origins in the first century to the modern era. Students will examine how Christian beliefs, practices, communities, and traditions developed in relation to Scripture, culture, empire, reform, mission, and modern social change.
